Overcoming Difficulties

Dreams were set, but were destroyed by the pandemic. Many things have changed because of COVID-19. Schools were closed, and online classes became a thing. Instead of being in a classroom and learning, we're at home answering modules and doing virtual classes. This pandemic has caused chaos inside my head that will continue to bug me.

The past 2 years have been very hard for me because of the pandemic. I still remember how and when my biggest trauma happened. Many things happened after our lolo's burial. I tested positive in my COVID-19 RT-PCR test, and some people at our barangay criticized us for that. I suffered from anxiety and couldn't really focus on studying. The lessons were really hard for me to understand, so every night I cried myself to sleep, thinking, "When will all of these end?" Things made me question my whole existence and also my faith in God. Luckily, I have my family, friends, and teachers. They were always there for me and never hesitated to help me. I am glad and thankful that I met a K-pop group named BTS. Because of them and their music, it helped me overcome and face these challenges. And of course, I am also thankful to God. God made and let me meet these amazing people who made a huge impact in my life. What can I say? God is really good.

I've come to understand that it's totally okay if we occasionally don't feel good. Throughout these times, I periodically rested while crying over it. Learning during the pandemic was one of the most difficult things I've ever done because of how the virus changed our way of life. It was a very terrifying experience. My experience with the pandemic did not go well; however, this did not stop me from learning. I have gone through a lot of trials, but it hasn't stopped me from going on with my life, despite the pandemic making school difficult and stressful.
