The road to a wonderful fresh start

New Year is something that we all look forward to. It serves as both the start and the finish of a year. Everybody hopes that the coming year will be filled with joy and happiness and would bring them all good fortune. I too celebrate this great day with all the blast that I can.

The year 2022 was really a roller coaster ride for me. I have great memories, good and bad, some learning experiences, and some that I’ll take with me the rest of my life. I made a huge amount of mistakes, and I regret doing foolish things, but I’ve realized I was only maturing into the young adult I am today.

Now that a new year is starting, my New Year’s resolutions are quite ordinary and similar to those of many kids my age. Today, I started coming up with three resolutions. The first one is to learn to be happier. I hope it takes me time and patience to learn how to find joy in the little things and not let the problems bring me down. The second is to stick to the healthy habits I've developed. I will need to work on sticking with the good habits that I have adopted until they just become a natural part of who I am. And last, I want to save money. Being a K-pop fan somehow comes with the commitment to spend my money in order to support my favorite groups. Even though it's not mandatory to lay aside my pocket money to get any or every product associated with my idols, somehow I can't fight the urge to get my hands on their merchandise. But starting this year, I want to save money and use it on more important stuff. 

The start of a new year is important to me and to everyone. It gives us fresh hope and joy. It is a chance for us to grow from our past mistakes and go forward in life with the goal of preventing us from repeating them. Like every other event, the new year should be greeted with great excitement. I'm glad we survived another year, and I hope you find the road to a wonderful fresh start. Happy New Year!
